Real time clock/calendarsIntroduction
NXP Semiconductors offers a number of real time clock/calendars based on 32kHz quartz oscillators.
With these products, time keeping is made easy, and alarm, timer, and watch-dog features complement the basic functionality.
Extremely low power consumption, down to 250nA, outperforms most RTCs in microcontrollers.
This allows you to use the RTC to wake up a microcontroller in hibernation mode for greater power savings.
Our real time clock/calendars are primarily differentiated by their I2C- or SPI-bus interfaces.
Additional differences include industrial or extended (up to 125°C) temperature ranges and additional scratch pad RAM.
State of the art leadless packages keep the application thickness to a minimum.
