LV family overview

The LV family was introduced to provide the performance of 5V HCMOS at 3V. Most parts, however, now operate up to 5.5V and offer twice the speed and twice the output current of 5V HCMOS.

The LV Family includes functions such as analog switches with very low on-resistance, and typical operating ranges of 1.0V to 5.5V. In total, sixty three part types are currently offered, making this the broadest low-voltage family on the market.

One unique part in this family is our battery management IC which operates from 0.9V to 6.0V, and handles 1 to 4 NiCd or NiMH rechargeable batteries (74LV4799).
